This summer sees the launch of Warrington’s first Mardi Gras event.

Emerging from Three successful years of Warrington Pride in Queens Gardens, the decision was made to move towards a Community Interest Company that could provide a more structured approach to one of the biggest pride events in Cheshire. With the backing of the local community, public and private sectors and enthusiastic volunteers, we are confident that Mardi Gras will be something that everyone will be proud of.

We’ve listened to your feedback and the event promises to be bigger, bolder and more representative of the Community. The Main stage will showcase acts from around the community, upcoming talent and big names. The Entertainment begins with an opening ceremony to bring the different aspects of the community together in a vibrant and proud celebration of LGBT culture in Warrington. This remains a free event open to all who wish to attend.

The markets will bring more diversity and opportunity for local traders and young emerging entrepreneurs than ever before. We’ll also be presenting “Taste of Warrington” bringing a sampler of the different specialist foods and drink that is on offer across the town.

As part of the lead up to Mardi Gras, we are proud to bring our first Fringe Festival. Each different event will showcase a different aspect of LGBT life and help to capture the community’s enthusiasm and imagination in the build-up before the main event.
